Blackadder I - The Story

Throughout the ages men of flair , faculty and outstanding courage have contributed to England's glorious heritage.  Others, like snivelling worm Edmund, duke of Edinbrugh (alias the Blackadder),the bitter and twisted son of a medieval king, have emerged from the dust of dodgy documents to claim their wrongful position in history.

Episode Guide

The foretelling
Blackadder kills the king by mistake and is haunted by the king's ghost.  Blackadder becomes a prince and he is told he will become king one day.  This is the episode where Blackadder gets a ridiculous haircut and decides to always wear black.  The Blackadder name is also born in this episode.

Born to be king
The king leaves the kingdom on a crusade against the Turks and leaves Harry in charge.  Edmund is put in charge of st. Lennards day entertainment.  There is also a scottish visitor who recieves all of Edmunds land.  Blackadder intends to kill him but does not when the scottish visitor gives Blackadder documents which could prove harry not to be the son of the king.  It turns out these documents say Blackadder is not the rightful son but he claims the documents a fake and challenges the scotsman a duel.

The Archbishop
The king is killing all archbishops over land.  Blackadder hopes to get Harry appointed archbishop but Blackadder himself gets appointed.  When Blackadder gains the king (his father) land.  They are both great friends.  Blackadder tries to make a profit out of his position.  Two drunken knights come to kill Blackadder and a fight breaks out in the Nuanary while the knghts , Baldrick , Blackadder and Percy are dressed like nuans.

The queen of Spain's beard
Harry is getting married to a million women while Blackadder has.......none.  Blackadder thinks he is in for a treat when he is arranged to marry the Spanish Infanta to make ties with Spain.  When Blackadder sees the look of her he tries everything not to marry her.  He tries things like:
becoming gay and marrying peasants for the day.
In the end he ends up marrying an 11 year old princess (princess Leya of Hungary).

Witchsmeller Puirsuivant
Blackadder insulted a withsmeller and the withsmeller brings up fake evidence at a trial claiming Blackadder is a witch.  Blackadder is arrested and gets put on the stake with Baldrick and Percy being burnt alive but it turns out the queen (Blackadder's mother) is a witch and she helps him.  No one except princess Leya (Blackadder's wife).

The Black Seal
Blackadder gets most of his power took away and he finds the six most evil men in the land to try and take over the kingdom.  Unfortunately the Hawk (Blackadder's sworn enemy) throws him in a locked room with snakes and mad Gerald.  Blackadder escapes but the six evil men side with the Hawk and torture Blackadder.  Baldrick and Percy poison the evil ones and accidentally poison the whole kingdom (Blackadder left Baldrick and Percy to find the most evil men known as the black seal.
